Popular Post samuibeachcomber
Today i visited samui immigration for a 90 day report and to ask for a single re-entry stamp.Arrived about 10am,about 20 or so people there. Upon entering i find all the staff wearing pink polo shirts, calmness and serenity abound,i feel like i'm in a temple, even khun nok is walking around like he's dropped a couple of xanax. I fill out the form and am given a number, lady puts corresponding number onto my passport ,have photo taken, pay the money,1000 baht and am told to return in 1 hour. Went across the road to the cafe, order black coffee and scambled eggs.Service very prompt.I roll a cigarette to have with my coffee and food arrives in 5 minutes. The young lady insists on changing my ashtray. By now my happy endorphins are really kicking in.Here i am thinking i'm surrounded by a few square metres of peace(inside a world of turmoil)and am loving it.Pay the bill 110baht and as i go into the street a monk passes by,i give him 20 baht(yes i know i'm a cheap charley)but i not usually give anything. Arrive back inside immigration office after only 40 minutes, not 60 mins.hand over my ticket, passport is given back to me and i sign photo copy forms.Am so happy at how things have gone so smoothly i nearly ask the lady (behind the counter) out for a date, until i remember she is married with a baby so i keep my mouth shut Any way i just wanted to share!
samuijimmy
Good story.... I just about splattered my lunch over the screen with the Xanax comment and Khun Nok.... I have to do mine in a two weeks.... hope it is the same treatment! Yeah, not good idea to try asking the girls out for a date, I know someone who tried that once, he did not get the hard time he had hoped for....
