How do I get downloads to ask me where I want them to go? In the past I used to be able to select the destination of download. Now they all seem to automatically go to desktop. How can I get the computer to ask me where I want stuff downloaded to?

What browser have you got? If it's Firefox, go to tools => options => downloads and you can browse to your preferred download location.

If it's IE consider getting a new browser

If you are using Mozilla Firefox go to

tools

options

download

that is where you will find download destination.

It is probably showing download to desktop.

Click on the ask me where to download button and voila, put it where you want.

For IE I have no idea as I dont use it, try
