anyone know about these new back to back or frequent visa runs  and  how they might effect sailboats traveling around thailand waters

Its common for me to sail to malaysia and stay a week and then return to thailand .I might do this several times before sailing to indonesia for 4 months and then returning to thailand.

Thailand has excellent yacht facility.I dry dock my boat every year here for the past 8 years. essentially making phuket a base  for repair and refit.

In phuket immigration does not stamp our passport but rather a piece of paper they insert. They give 30 day on arrival for the person and 6 months for the boat.

I fly out to the usa once a year from thailand while my boat is dry docked so have 1 stamp each year from phuket immigration

But I might recieve 5 entrys a year on a piece of papaer at the immigration for yachts

There have been no changes about arrival by sea in Thailand, actually there have been almost no changes at all.

You don't do visa runs so the entire matter does not apply to you at all.
