jonnyscot
Any regulars rotating to Saudi? Just wondering if they're still so strict re. Checks on Flash drive and hard drive content, not that I've any porn content, just possibly the odd top half shots amongst some of the many movies, just looking for update as it's about 3 years since last trip there but heading off soon to Saudi via Bahrain and don't want to spend the day sifting through all my content on my HD unless it's a must,, anyone actually had their HD or their Laptop confiscated or worse? sirtrevor
I travel in and out of Riyadh 3/4 times a year and have never had flash drive/hard drive checked. I've not heard of any colleagues that have either. My advice is don't worry, in fact it seems that King Khalid Airport is going through a bit of a facelift and the immigration personal are a lot friendlier and more efficient (in terms of speed). KhonJaiYen
I've been into KSA 3 times this year, Jeddah once and Damman twice and have never been checked.
jonnyscot
Thanks for the updates, ok I'm not carrying any porn as I mentioned, but on my travel docs it said to delete personal pics etc,, which surprised me a bit,, maybe something lost in translation Cheers guys
fatfather
I've been caught once in Dammam Airport, not very funny and quite expensive... Furthermore my customer, a Saudi, had to apologize for me in his own office to religious police and custom officers (I had to be present for this meeting) and confirm that he still appreciate to work with a man like me... it was really pain in the *ss, be careful. By traveling to Saudi via Bahrain, make sure that your visa states that coming to Saudi on the land way the first entry, is permitted. Many had to turn around at the Saudi land border and had to go back to Bahrain to take a flight to Dammam Fatfather
