Interestingly I had this conversation in the office recently.

The guys said that Thailand still forces lefties to be right handed, something that died out in the UK mid 20th century.

Of course, even in the West more people are right handed than left, ATMs in the UK are right hand card, most tools are right handed.

As a leftie myself I do occasionally get frustrated with items that are specifically right handed (scissors get me every time).

Interesting question.. I guess in Europe we have about 10% of left handed, but don't forget until not so long ago, children used to be corrected by the parents, or by the teacher when using the left hand to write.

If i think about, in fact i can't remember knowing any Thai guy or girl using the left hand to write.

PS in Asia you are supposed to use your left hand to wipe your ass.

That explains a lot. All my bosses were tools.

Mrs T is left handed

My wife also is left handed.
She was telling me, that her father tried to change her to right hand when she was young.
So now, she can write with both hands.
But she always feels comfortable using the left one.
Lucky for the FIL Costas, his efforts saved you having to buy both a right handed and left handed version of the TGAU. He saved you money ;)

Costas would be ambidextrous for all the milking of mammals that he does.

I heard he once milked a dozen badgers in world record time.

We should call him Sir Costas. As long as he doesn't go down the Rolf, Cliff route.

I have a sneaking suspicion Roland Rat is right handed. Pictured here with his teddy bear.attachicon.gifimage.jpg

I reckon Roland is ambidextrous , never know he may well tell us if he's not busy being a superstar.

Maybe he's busy playing with his miniature sized TGAU......I'm led to believe he was clawed warriors first order for a gold plated unit.....which just goes to prove that international superstars get paid too much.

Maybe he's taken Mrs RR out for a special meal of cheese or something.
