PM Thaksin : E-auction system has saved govt budget by 15 billion baht

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra stated that procurement of government agencies done by E-auction system has helped the government to save substantial amount of its budget.

Dr. Thaksin spoke about the procurement through E-auction system that during the past one and a half year, government agencies have gone through e-auctioning by 200 billion baht.

The system has saved the budget of the government by 15 billion baht.

He said such system is effective, while admitting that controlling fraud individuals are difficult. Therefore, such system has been implemented to control the procurement.
