The man does get things done.

Ok, running for office with no competition kind of makes me wince, nonetheless.

No competition and a stacked legislature.

Like a boss.

He ain't giving up power easily. Just you watch.

FOR EVERY DAY HE IS BOSS, HE GETS MORE POWER

The Top bloke gave him the go ahead to clean up the mess of others

and so far is going well "LEGALY" so yeah he couldent mess it up any worse than any

of the previous, being Millitary and a firm hand he would do well for Thailand.

Let's lighten up and imagine some pillow talk six months ago....

"Darling, what are you going to do after you retire in September, Take up golf maybe...?"

Hmmm.... not sure. maybe I can become Prime Minister. the timetable fits splendidly. Yes - lets go for it!"

Hopefully the best PM this country will ever have!!

Fingers crossed.

This is Thailand's last hope for a transparent, fair and clean government. If the army fails, we're back to the clowns and the circus is back in town with its trick cyclists, shenanigans and skullduggery..

By far the worst in Thai history. Crazy money spending for military, less money for education and health. Total and absolute corruption (military officiers will not declare their assets it means they are free to steal as much as they want) .A terrible level of repression, tortures, human rights violations, the destruction of the tourism industry.

Never before a government had done so much damage to a country like this one is doing to Thailand by totally destroying it. It is a world record.

Oh yes....I loved the headline. "Tipped"

I always thought a 'tip' was some bloke whispering through the back of his hand about a horse that was an outsider and worth a flutter. Tee hee.......

Presume there will be only one name on the ballot paper.

And is anyone saying no ?? there is no way out of this only this way. What alternative do we have??, what parties are there out there that would woo the voters, PTP never again-----Dems and the others we do not know. this is why elections are a no go at this time.

Thaiand now has to give Prayuth a chance, but all you splinter members----how about Jutaporn...Chalerm....All this sort of tribe are out to grass.

All Basil was are doing was commenting on a new item.

All you are doing is shouting over him by telling them that "this is the way it is".

Some people like to intelligently question things in the news. You are not one of these people, so why try to stop others having a discussion with these shouting posts?

Try to stop others from having intelligent discussions are quite normal if you are not in the same level ! I don't even read his comments anymore.

How intelligent are you lot by condoning the last 3 years with Yingluck. Conversations from your clan are a no go, one rhetoric one agenda from most, and a minority--that speaks volumes.

Basil was not just commenting on a new item, he was being sarcastic-your lots anti army style of rhetoric. Do you call his comment intelligent ??

a one liner slagging the army.

Without you apologists TVF would not miss out, Without the majority that have more open minds you lot would not have anyone to reply to.

All I say is give Prayuth a chance as we do NOT have much choice. I will resist the doom and gloom if not, every one goes down with the Thaksin Titanic. and PTP.

Thailand spent the more money on education than any other country--population wise ??

Ginjag, you are on TVF continuously baiting, decrying and generally bellowing incoherently at anyone who does not follow your line. I'm seriously starting to wander whether, if you did not have the internet, you would spend your evenings in the garden howling at the moon! Give it a rest for goodness sake.

Have a close look at your splinter clans posts.

Don't tell me I am baiting. hypocrite. you apologists are at it all the time. Even this one, wanting a strong comment from me in reply ---no -I am not biting at your collective posts, Hello it's have a go at ginjag day today, tomorrow a good guy our uncle takes so much stick from your clan it's unbelievable. but our Dutch friend will not bite.

I have said many times I am prepared to go with the flow, that makes me an army crawler ???----but do admit to vomiting when people condone PTP governing.

False. The UN data says otherwise. Thailand spends more money for repression and censorship than any other country. This is damned true.\

Military spending has just risen because , Prayuth said "if we have no new weapons, nobody will fear us" What a gentleman, right ?

Terrorising the population is his top N.1 priority. This was the first session result of the rubber stamp parliament.

Priority N.1 "keep the people under fear"., when so many things should be addressed. This is getting worse and worse every day.

Show me the proof that they are not near the top. (education spending)

Second do not use the post to jump in with both feet about the Army--and censorship. not interested in your anti anything rhetoric.

Cutchulainn, only posted an optimistic view about hope------look at your prepared reply. absolute corruption in the army-----does PTP ring a bell or is that riling you to mention it.

If Prayuth fails, will we have a military coup disposing a military coup? Will there be enough miltary officers and generals to go around? Might have to draft the entire Thai male population.

Not to mention the anti-foreigner policy.

From this month no new employed foreigners can join the Thai government health care system.

Well at least he was hand pickedw00t.gif

The master of one liners to the press, and if you push him, the boys in black pay you a visit.

It was good to see the press confirming quotes "one junta official said on condition of anonymity". and "Another member of the junta, formally known as the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), said Prayut was set to be chosen because he is "suitable for the job". No one outside the NCPO or Junta will comment, or have their comments reported.

The purpose is still to weaken any opposition, and gain spending increases for the defence budget.

The institution of the coup is the problem, if Prayuth is deposed by an unsavory character.

I think Prayuth Chan-oocha is exactly what Thailand needs but not necessarily under martial law.

You have just rather made my point.

Your post showed me who and what you want and stand for. not wanting improvement, as this is the only way for now and you still will not tolerate it.

extreme view comes to mind.

Yes, the vote will certainly be unanimous.

Spoiled ballot papers/no votes not withstanding.

There seems to be a misunderstanding. Gen. Prayuth is not running for office. He may be selected / appointed.

Seems only fair. Why should another poor soul get all the nasty comments which resulted for Prayuth's coup rolleyes.gif

PTP/redshirt/Shin regime supporters should be the last ones to complain about this situation.

It was, after all, the crooked, corrupt, craven, criminal mob of scammers who they so faithfully follow who got Thailand into this mess.

Or perhaps it was the PRDC being explicitly supported with a supply of weapons & foot soldiers.

Don't even try to suggest that those cowardly night attacks with gunfire and grenades were done by themselves.

Keep loving this 'we'. Time some pro dictatorship posters take a holiday back to their home countries to gain some much needed perspective.

No I'll have a laugh and make some out like-------if you want real democracy-Thaksin style, is the way to go.giggle.gif

Thaksin, Bush and Blair were all elected, not dictators.

(OK, so was Hitler, you got me there)

And I can never spell the Arab names so they don't exist for me.

Still maybe I should have asked what you thought those people you mentioned had in common. wink.png
