Quiet Places To Study/read?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Would anyone be able to recommend any quiet places (that are open to the general public) where one can go to read/study (with air conditioning - it's hard enough without the heat)? I suppose a library pops to mind, but where? Thanks for any information!

Cheers

Can't you find a quiet bar somewhere...nurse a coke along for an hour or so if you don't drink alcohol while reading...use earplugs if necessary.

In Ekammai with sukhumvit.. :o

you will see the place is a big one.. I been there a few time reading

Have you tried Thai Visa Chat, no-one ever goes there, always peaceful.I think you'll have to supply you own air con though. :o

If you can afford the membership (about 2000THB for a year I think) the Siam Society (a short walk up from Sukhuvit underground/Asok BTS) is great. Air-con and v pleasant to read in. There is also a coffee shop outside. You can just turn up and join - though perhaps a good idea to bring some ID with you.
