I have stayed at the Assean Int Hotel. 8 Chua Boc Street. Hanoi a few years back which was quite acceptable. I have contact No,s should you need them but suspect you can find all details on web.

We were just in Hanoi in June for a week and stayed at two places, both of which i highly recommend:

Viet Anh Hotel, 11 Ma May Street in the old quarter. e-mail: [email protected]

Anh Dao Hotel, 37 Ma May Street also in the old quarter. e-mail: [email protected]

The Viet Anh was a bit nicer and much better breakfast and both are around 10 to 15 US dollars for a single. Contact them by e-mail and they can give you rates.
