Official work experience certificates

Featured Replies

Hi Thai Visa members,

I have been asked to prove all my previous experience in case my application for a company is successful as they will nee fit to obtain my work permit. I have never been asked this before as this would be my first employment outside EU, so I haven't got any documents, but I will try to get from my previous employers.

My question is: I'm not sure what do I exactly need, and since I might need this int he future as well, what exactly they mean with work experience certificate (official documents)?

What do I really need to prove this to Thai government in order to get a Work Permit?

Is this a letter from the HR department of each company stating my name and dates employed, do I need any special formal document, stamps, prints, or can be just a company letter with a name, address and phone about the company?

Can you please help?

Thank you for your time!

yes names dates position official company stamp and signature. If you need help do PM me and i can provide you with more information

Thank you Carlsum!

But they asked me to provide information from all employers, some dating back 8 years….I'm not sure I can manage to contact all employers, specially big corporations...

Is this normal? Do Thai authorities need so much to provide a work permit?

I don't think it is the labour department, but rather the company offering the job that would be more interested in work experience.

OK, I understand it, but I'm just afraid to not be able to get ALL my previous experience. Does it means that the company or Thai authorities can turn down my application because of this?

For example, Let's imagine I worked for 5 companies but I only manage to get in touch with 3 and get official certificates...
