Anybody ever use inoculant on tamarind trees? Your experience?

Featured Replies

Planting about 25 tamarind trees. I have never used inoculant on trees before but I'm interested in hearing from folks who have.

I've never had experience growing tamarind trees, but your question got me thinking and searching.

There are two types of inoculation that you could consider since tamarind is a legume, one is for the nitrogen fixing bacteria and the other is with mycorrhizal fungi. I believe both would be very beneficial.

And consider good soil preparation with soil analysis and prescription mineral and biological amendments. Before planting you have a great opportunity to grow and plow in a cover crop, incorporate deficient nutrients, organic matter, humates, granite rock dust or Azomite, and mycorrhizae. Then a good mulching and irrigation program for maintenance. Early tree structural pruning can create a strong and durable structural integrity for these large growing trees.

If you can't find the inoculants in LOS, you can get them from Amazon.
