I had a friend on FB who would post about current weather, health updates, bowel movements, grocery list and especially, every bit of bad luck she had, in excruciatingly long comments. It took minutes more just to scroll through my timeline because of her. I clicked "don't show on timeline" and it's saved me loads of time and annoyance. The original meaning of the word gay has slid into oblivion a long time ago. Costas should have used the word cheerful. I believe gay like in the present meaning of the word became current in the seventies. Remember talking about it with friends, we wondered about it, because gay (present meaning) friends/acquaintances often didn't seem so gay (old meaning). he should have used the word just as he did. If you are happy and your gay...clap your hands...pat yourself on the back...go kiss the mirror...and hug yourself... In the mean time...give those who do not wish to have to be exposed to the BS of gays self-promotion of their lifestyle...a break.. Enjoy yourself with those who are of a like mind...and let the rest of us enjoy our lifestyle without having to reassure you constantly that you are not the miserable creature you just kissed in the mirror...
