Please no.

mate, for a minute there I thought you meant you had a disliking of bums but you meant it was your jolly side your were upset with. Dont worry, between all your TGAU certificates you will have to issue and the badger milking(still think you should try milking drop bears) you will still be laughed at for years to come, besides you can always think of sandman and his great writings in here when ever you are down and need a laugh, maybe you should make a book on all sandmans writings, reckon that would be almost as popular as badger milk and TGAU's.whistling.gif

This is a very, very, serious forum devoted to retarded (ie non English speaking)people who are in need of serious help as a consequence of their inability to fathom the relatively simple rules of obtaining and/or renewing and extending a Thai visa. Your frivolous narcissism has no place in these august columns. The fact that Greece is For Sale as a result of the dubious business practices of some of your compatriots might make you not gay, but cheer up you are, I presume, not there, but here where everyone is smiling 'cheese'

This is my analysis of the situation:

Many of us ex-pats have given up and left behind all in our home countries. Once we have lived in Thailand for a number of years we gradually lose close contact with our families and what were our oldest and closest friends may just become contacts from afar, facebook friends and the like.

This can pose new problems because it means besides our Thai families and perhaps those we can only regard as acquaintances here in Thailand, there are no people outside of our Thai family relationships that we can regard as being close to us on a personal level and in this respect may find ourselves living in a sort of secluded environment having no close personal friends to turn to in times when we wish to discuss a problem or if we are feeling down in the dumps for any reasons or even to socialise with.

Some try to substitute having actual intimate inter-active relationships with real people for that of participating with people online such as social networking sites, other forms of social media and forums such as Thai visa. But unfortunately there are no substitutes for the real thing. Forums are only there for informative purposes, reading, sharing and giving opinions and that’s as far as they should be taken and nothing else expected. Members have to realise that other members are only here for the reasons I have mentioned, we are not your mates and not even your acquaintances, therefore all comments should be strictly adhered to as being irrelevant in your lives, the same as all comments should be regarded made on any media.

It does seem that when reading into the lines of many of the comments read on Thai visa that there are those crying out for help but have no one to turn to, whether are they in need of advice or just feeling depressed and left alone to deal with it, that in some cases I find rather sad and I mean this most sincerely.

What many should consider prior to giving it all up and moving to Thailand is that it may involve having very little or no associations with those they can consider as their peers in real terms, especially once they begin to realise that living in Thailand is not going to be party time every night and the let down of when the dream of meeting wonderful exciting and interesting new people does not transpire. In other words, one just have to accept the way it is and going back to what I said previous, is why comments made on forums should never be taken as personal.

The Gay Forum is a Movement.

I heard that the EEC is having a promotion at the moment. Buy Greece and get Spain and Portugal thrown in with the deal for free.

Reading your post, that I consider is an extremely personal and vicious attack on someone just because it seems this is the only way that someone of your low intellect can get your points across, is another reason why I would never take such comments as personal, because even if the live till 120 years old, you will never be as smart as me, trust me on this one.

And this is my advice to our costas2008, that no need to take comments to heart and just regard these types of posters as people of a lower intelligence and mentally give them the two fingered salute They are totally irrelevant to those around them in the real world and totally irrelevant to those here on Thai visa.

Mr Beetlejuice, I wasn't going to answer the gentleman's reply, as I regarded it as a bit of filth and a personal attack.

I do thank you very much, for replying on my behalf.

Taking the opportunity, I would like to express my admiration to your posts and your way of thinking.

Thank you again.

heed your own advice:

"If you don’t like other people’s comments, please, just ignore them."

Costas 2008

Pay no heed to the hate

Do not take the bait

To escalate and recriminate.

Give the hate zero weight

It makes the haters more irate.

And while they fulminate,

Make love, read a book, sip some wine, irritate your teenage children, and generally enjoy your life.

T

You must remember that with text communication, certain things are lost, the facial expression, tone of voice etc. This causes a lot of misunderstandings. A funny can be interpreted as a dig or worse.

And yes, Costas, you can be gay anytime!!! Come out of the closet my friend!!!!

TiT

Thaivisa is Thaivisa

it has taken me most of the night to think of this..but I think the attitude/spirit you are after is this: Χαρωπό

Blithe!!

Because we are all different, every single one of us. BUT, I have met some miserable farang sods in LOS for sure....sad.png

In Tesco Lotus? laugh.png

Here's my take:

Thailand can be a cruel mistress, and has a way of teaching people humility. And, yes, I have learned these lessons the hard way.

If you’ve only been here a short time, consider this to be a word of caution.

If you’ve been here a long time and don’t know what I am talking about, consider yourself to be very blessed indeed. But I think most of us who have been here any time at all know what I am talking about.

If you make an effort to learn from these lessons, you’ll be fine. If you don’t, cynicism and bitterness can take hold of your soul.

Actually, op, this forum was created for visa information, hence the URL, and not for inane, server-busting waffle. Although, amusing as it is, at times, it has since degenerated into a self-gratifying, chest-pumping free for all.. hallmarks of your typical fora where folk have too much time and the owner rubs their hands with all that juicy, user-generated content. How's that for cynicism on a Sunday?

Someone had to before they were destroyed... by you!
