extension of stay divorced father of Thai child with full custody

Featured Replies

My original visa was a one year non-immigrant 'O'- granted through the family criteria but as the divorced father with full custody of a dependent Thai child.

Last September it was extended for a further year but not without hassle - I needed photos of me and the child together inside and outside my house, outside her school, hand-drawn map of my home, daughter's tabien baan, you name it.

Just been into Jomtien immigration which as usual was jam-packed with bodies - all I wanted was the correct extension of stay form and an up to date copy of the requirements for my particular case. They couldn't find them of course, gave me a copy of the text for marriage to a Thai national, and when I complained, got "no have look internet". Then started on the next farang in the queue.

Great. Rather than create a scene thought I would try here first... does anyone have the current requirements for my situation, or a link to where the forms and up-to-date requirements can be downloaded?

Thanks!

It should be the same as last year unless you changed offices.

The list for marriage should be fairly close exempt for the marriage certificate and etc.

Photos as well except for the additional ones at the school.

Thanks UJ would be nice to get the current list of requirements though, in all the shenanigans last year with immigration (refused because printed map not hand-drawn one etc) I misplaced the list I had.

You would think it would be downloadable somewhere on an official site but I haven't found it yet...

Plus the paper they gave me in error this morning mentioned 3 months at 500K not 400K for a marriage visa, which is a new one on me...

It sounds like they gave you a list for a parent getting an extension based upon a child attending school. The 500k baht is needed for those extensions.

If you found a list it probably would not be correct for Jomtien,
