I was wonder if anyone could give me any pointers as to where I can buy and international phone card for discounted rates? My business partner is in Africa and travel in remote locations so no internet. It's costing me a fortune dialing from Bangkok through the 001 number. Thanks!

I am certainly no expert, but since you aren't getting any replies, I willl offer my 2 cents worth. I have read that international long distance charges are negotiated between countries based on call volume, and the percentage of calls made in each direction. If there is a high volume, and a 50/50 split in call origination, the cost of each call is set at a low price. If there is little call volume, and most of it is originating at one end, the cost per call is high.

This is soething you need to consider when doing business in places like Africa.

Dial 009 or 007 instead of 001 it's a lot cheaper and crystal clear but not as cheap as a phone card. International phone cards available in 7/11.
