johnnywishbone
Is it waste of effort to bring free dive gear to this place? I will be here 30 days in January... I am not overly experienced, but seem to survive. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
PhuketdashScuba
There are limited but ok diving opportunities directly from Kamal Beach. But there are more and very nice options leaving from Chalong Pier, to the south of Kamala, and Tap Lamy Pier, to the north of Phuket Island. So yes, bring your gear and enjoy the diving here, you can even consider doing a liveaboard trip. And don't forget to book your trips with your friendly forum sponsor

Pinot
A number of dive shops in town and easy to find on Google. Ask them directly. I'd hate to haul a lot of stuff only to find out it can be rented cheaply here.
