Can I exit and re-enter on same day with Non-O Multi Entry Visa at Nong Khai

I just noticed that my Non-O (based on marriage) Multi Entry Visa is about to run out. Is Nong Khai allowing people to exit and then re-enter on the same day, or are they making you stay overnight in Vientienne?

You can return the same day.

You don't have to stay overnight at any crossing. There is no such rule or regulation that requires it.

There has only been reports of something like that happening at a rogue southern border crossing.
