Last year, I renewed my retirement visa and multiple-reentry permit on the same day. The retirement visa was stamped with an expiration date of "July 16, 2006" - my permit was stamped "JUNE 16, 2006". Opps! After completing the TM7 a few days ago, I was sent to room 303, and got questioned on why I thought I could get into Thailand on an invalid permit. The Immigration officer told me that the permit date was noted when I entered Thailand, and Immigration was waiting for me to show up. It took a half-hour of discussion, and the Imiigration official admitted that they had entered the wrong date. When I went to "line 7", I had to repeat my story - but their quick check of the computer log showed that I was correct. In summary, be sure to check the date BEFORE you walk away from the counter!
