Water resources board confirms no terrible flood in Bangkok or surroundings

BANGKOK, 10 September 2014 (NNT) –The Board of Water Resources Administration and the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) have given assurances that the flood situation in Bangkok and general area won't deteriorate as in 2011.

Mr.Royol Chitradon, Committee of the Water and Flood Management Commission, said the overall flood situation in Thailand this rainy season, won't have a large effect on Thailand. Meanwhile, the flood situation in Sukhothai is believed to be improving.

However, the board will integrate with the relevant institutes to draft a model scheme of water management in normal and crisis conditions, to be prepared for any emergency in changing water situations.
