Toknarok
I see that Newin has named his new track "Chang International Circuit' Surely this is in contravention of the daft new laws proposed re advertising alcohol. Or have these laws been shelved or forgotten about?

Toknarok
OK so the laws were introduced in 2008 by the Democrats, ignored by the PTP and now being enforced (perhaps) by the Junta. Never heard of Chang water, only Singha.

Popular Post kamalabob2
I spent 90 minutes at the Buriram International Circuit on August 29th, when Mr. Newin gave a very enthusiastic and heartfelt speech to an audience of about 5000 Thai Government Officials, Thai business people, and prominent Buriram Citizens. Probably every bank manager in Buriram Province was in those stands. He had brought in four huge truck mounted video monitors and there are videos on youtube of his speech. The public restrooms and handicapped bathrooms seem to be of an international standard. The view from the stands was excellent. The sound system worked fine. I was a guest of a businessman who had provided ready mixed concrete for a large section of the parking lot. I was not the only farang in that audience on August 29th. The owner of the Best Western Royal Buriram Hotel was in a much nicer auto than I was riding. From a spectator point of view the Chang International Circuit will be worth a visit during a race. It was shown on the video presentation prior to Mr. Newin's speech and it is on the web site about the Represent of Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) inspection. I believe a hotel is being planned for the racetrack and I can state there is a rear exit from the parking lot to avoid departure delays. Photos are taken every day with a camera mounted on a drone, to document the progress of construction of the Chang International Circuit.
