Quickest possible double entry visa

Hi

I need to get a double entry tourist visa next week and wondering about the quickest possible way of doing this from bangkok to avoid disruption with my schedule.

My current plan which i dont know if its possible is at 6am next thursday fly to udon thani, cross the border (somehow) and get to the thai embassy for 8.30am. Apply for the double entry tourist visa. Return the next day and collect and that afternoon, cross back to thailand, go to udani thani and fly back to bangkok in the evening. Is this acheivable? What time realistically would i get the passport and visa back and back to udon thani for?

Your plan will work.

Arriving on Tuesday or Wednesday would of been better days since that is a the consular section is less busy.

Thursday is a day the visa run vans will be there.

Ok thanks very much. Assuming i landed at 7am will there be minivan services at the airport which will take me to vietienne in time?

You can even fly direct to Vientane with Lao Airlines, but it's a lot more expensive.

The van from the airport will take you to the bridge in Nong Kai, Then you would take the shuttle bus across the bridge after clearing immigration. Then after Lao immigration you could get a Tuk Tuk or Taxi to the consular section.

As long as you get to consular section before 11 you will be fine so you don't need to worry about it the time factor.
