Johnb - OK I am always reading threads where the Thai officials get a hard time(by posters/thai bashers) for letting a Thai national go free after committing a crime on a farang.

Any other info - Only to say that the family of the girl who was murdered were called on Friday to be told that the guy was been let go.

My girlfriend said to me that the girl died for FREE - read into that what you will.

I do not know if charges are going to be pressed. Currently trying to find out who the Thai lady was who "sponsored" the guy.

Somtaran,

You are partially correct but here is the true story.

He is being allowed out for supervised visits to the Hospital to change bandages on a daily basis but I can confirm that he is currently locked-up at Pattaya Police Station and was definetly there this morning. I understand he will apply for bail and most probably will get it. The court will take into consideration that it is a crime of passion and his age. He will go to trial for this murder, whether he is convicted or not is up to the Judge.

Was this the guy who was on TV with the knife the Thai girl had ripped him off for 600,000 baht + for a bar then got a Thai boyfriend

If so good luck to him about time these Thais realise they cannot do what they want maybe the next ones will think twice before ripping a easy farang off :o

This a sad and brutal way to "teach" a lesson IMO.

The lady didn't deserve to die for it, no matter what she did.

Violence only causes more violence in my way of thinking.

As hm said: "whether he is convicted or not is up to the Judge."

Let's hope he is a fair man and weighs his decision carefully.

This man obviously valued the life of this girl less than the 600,000 or so bath that he had “invested” in his future life with her. If his love for her had been true he would have kissed her on the cheek and said “good luck teerak!” But he loved his money and saw this girl as a possession that should follow his directions or be disposed of. How hard would it have been for him to really kill himself had he intended to instead of this pathetic show. One point for the police who didn’t shoot him point blank! This limey is next for the “eternal vaccination” if I have my wish come true.

Agreed, her life was worth more than the money. I'm sure he was told before hand not to give her so "much". Lets hope he gets what is fair from the judge.

Huh?

If that level of thinking works .. then the answer would be for the TG and her TBF to have the farang done in and not risk a divorce etc.

But basically if you put the phrase "about time these Thais realise..." then you fit right in with the idjits.

good news! poor guy was backed into a corner by the theiving scum. hope he gets a lenient sentence or the case is dropped.

I hope he gets atleat 50 years, what a peice of scum

This morning he was released on bail (400,000 Baht). The money was put up by a Thai friend.

AHA, I was right. I DID see him in Soi 9 the other day.

So any more updates or info on this case?

Maybe his bail conditions stipulate that he has to stay in Pattaya, but if not I'd be putting a bit of distance between myself and "sin city" (for a spell leastaways)
