Can you tell me how different are these GPS maps :

and esri maps http://www.gpssociety.com/EN/Pages/default.aspx

I have an old and basic Garmin nuvi 200, enough for my Honda wave , but I would like to have an update ( I have an old esri version )

my nuvi is too old for V2014.20 , but still good for V2012.40 (dixit Esri )

what do you think ? gpstravelmpaps ( they say " good for nuvi 200 " ) or esri v2012 ?

I don't wish to buy a new gps, don't need sophisticated one

Just lookin at the website but I find this about odd that they only added 9 KM of roads.

IMHO the ESRI maps are the best around. I have no experience what the Maps from that Website, but I doubt it that they have the same coverage as ESRI.

What you also could do is to look at the Garmin.OpenStreet Maps. (Free)

Thank you for your answer ; I contacted Esri in Bangkok, and they accept to download an old version ( 2012 ) in my unit, which is too old for the new one ( they dowload it for free, because they can't download the latest version in my GPS )

That's jolly decent of them. And I'd imagine the 2012 map works acceptably (not THAT much has changed in 2 years). Excellent!

If you want the ESRI maps buy one that has the StreetNavi map. Street Navi has two updates a year and charge round 900 a year for updates after the first year. THere are quite a few genuine GPS with street Navi as well as some foreign unlicenced ones. GPS costs about 5000baht. Garmin maps are no longer ESRI

There might not be that much physical change in the past 2 years; however, there has likely been quite alot of improvement in GIS upgrades during the past 2 years.

Still, for the application the OP wants for his motorbike and the very considerate offer to have an earlier version downloaded for free, it should be plenty good.

ESRI is the name in Professional grade GIS networks.
