DITP Deputy Director General Suwiphan Ditsayamonthon conceded that although the Finance Minister has not yet adjusted the export target for this year, which according to the current prediction stands at 3-3.5 per cent, factors from abroad are hampering the country's efforts to boost exports.Mr Suwiphan said another private sector meeting with the Commerce Minister would be held soon, in order to implement more stimulants to encourage exports to grow as planned.Besides, DITP also is organizing the Bangkok International Gift Fair & Bangkok International Housewares Fair (BIG+BIH) October 19-23 at BITEC Exhibition & Convention Centre, Bangna to boost domestic spending. The department has estimated that more than Bt2 billion would change hands during the event. (MCOT online news)-- TNA 2014-09-16
