sunshine51
Hello again TV photogs...yeah...it's me extolling them Leica's again. In my last post concerning the new Leica S (model 007), btw...any reference to the real 007 I wonder or is it simply a number? I mentioned that I would not post anything about the new Leica lenses showcased at Photokina 2014. Well...due to overwelping questions as to "Why Not Sunshine?" and MJP's request to do so....here they are in link form. Seems as though Leica is redoing the old unisex thing to a couple of them for the 21st Century...to me anyway. Mind you...I bet they are some fine lenses in true Leica tradition....but c'mon... unisex lenses...hah! Here's those links...and a pic. Stop drooling MJP... http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2014/09/16/photokina-leica-announcements-the-mother-load/ http://petapixel.com/?s=leica+lenses+at+photokina Direct link to the lenses on PetaPixel... http://petapixel.com/2014/09/16/leica-unveils-six-new-lenses-and-gives-two-current-lenses-a-silver-paint-job/ Edited September 19, 2014 by sunshine51
MJP
Do they come with a free cleaning kit?
sunshine51
Do they come with a free cleaning kit? No...But if you want the cleaning kit without the red Leica meatball on it Leica will charge you 50 quid more than the one with the red meatball on it. Such is life eh.... rhythmworx
You could always hold the lens steady in a vice and file or grind it off I suppose.

I'm not a materialistic type, hell I drive an old car and wear supermarket clothes . . . but I could blow a quarter of million quid in one afternoon on gear. If I had money. Which I don't.
rhythmworx
Looks like they have a built in bottle opener on the lens mount, imagine how popular you'd be at outdoor barbecues in the summer.
