Has anyone heard if the timings for selling alcohol in 7-Eleven etc have been applied to the Bars / Pubs / Restaurants yet

Apparently the Police from Rayong visited the Bars in Ban Chang yesterday, warned that they would be re-visiting today, July 21st, and if any were found to be selling a fine of 30,000 would be levied

Incidentally how does this timing affect Restaurants

Worrying !!!

A few months ago i had heard that there was a law preventing anyone from serving alcoholic drinks after midnight.

now how efficiently thats put in practice is in question.

I'm not a big fan of the alcohol, anyway, I think if I'd order some beers over by food by phone or just visit the restaurant downstairs in my lobby, whey wouldnt even think about not selling the booze. I think it's just BS so they can ask for a little more tea money or use it a solution to close down competitors.

So why warn the bars then?

"We'll be round tomorrow and if you are selling booze, you will be fined big money. See how we care and protect? That little snippet will cost you 3K baht. Thank You very much."
