Casting call- Documentary "Living off the Grid"

If you are truly living 'off the grid' how would you have heard about the casting call?

I was under the impression that living off the grid meant the "electricity grid,"

So if you power your computer through renewable means, you can still be connected to the world and still be "off the grid."

Connected is connected. From Wikipedia before TL2 shows up:

The term off-the-grid (OTG) can refer to living in a self-sufficient manner without reliance on one or more public utilities.

Perhaps, some might also argue that to be truly off the grid you must be a vegetarian and have a composting toilet

There are enormous electrical requirements to power and cool down a server farm to which one would link living off-the-grid. So really you are just transferring that power load to someone else.
