Ideas for somewhere to go for the weekend

Featured Replies

Hey All

I was wondering if you guys could help me,

My pregnant wife and I are looking for somewhere to go next weekend for a bit of a chill-out/something to do (she cannot drink or walk too far), we are currently living in Maha Sarakham and looking to dash out for the weekend to somewhere cool/new

We have been to Bangkok, phuket and all the usual spots yet wondering if any of you guys can advise anywhere to go which may not be your usual touristy type place, hoping to fly from Khon Kean.

I know your all going to tell me to do one and do my own research however I have been to all the usual places yet wanting to go somewhere a bit different to take the wife,

Thanks in advance for any info,

Cheers

what about Vientiane? If you have been here awhile, you have probably gone before for a visa run, but have you explored it? It's a great city with great food choices and loads of good sleeping choices...

I am actually headed off there today in a few hours for a couple of weeks.

I believe there are direct buses from Sarakham to Nong Khai...plus you get to get out of the country for a little bit too!
