somchai jones
Hi , I'll possibly be driving over to Koh Chang fom Petburi at New Year and haven't been for several years. I understand there are public car ferries now. My question is, do they get very full and if so should/can I book in advance. What are the driving conditions like on Koh Chang now? Thanks for any advice.
zyphodb
You can normally drive straight on without booking no problem, The driving conditions are bad on Koh Chang unless you like narrow, windy roads with lots of steep hills & near hairpin bends, would be ok if it was a one way system but of course it isn't... mrtoad
Then roads are ok, but if you are t used to real driving, which means changing gear a doing up and down winding hills gi might be difficult.

I don't find the roads bad, although see some comical manoeuvres particularly from Bangkok drivers.
