Exporting your dog to Australia

Featured Replies

Hi guys im wondering what the process would be if it is possible to take a dog to my home in Australia.

I have read that the pet must have lived out of Thailand for 6 months.

Most info I have is dated, so anything recent would be great.

Thank you

First up, I'd contact the Oz Consulate or better still the Embassy in BKK. There will be very strict requirements, including possibly three months in Quarantine...at some cost to you.

Good luck!

Read categories 2 and 3 and non-approved countries, which Thailand belongs to:

If you choose for Malaysia as intermediate country, the read this:

I've just done the Rabies testing procedure for a dog that is going to Singapore soon. If you need that info, feel free to send me a pm.
