Best/ most simplest way of sending money, earned here, back to my UK account.

Featured Replies

Been working here for a while now but I'm looking to go back home early next year.

I obv want to get the money I earned here from my Kbank account over to my bank account in the UK. What is the best way to do this?

I've looked into Paypal and it seems very hard and expensive to do. Also, for some unknown reason, after setting up a Thai Paypal and registering my account/card it wont let me credit my account with funds from my K bank account . The fees seem extortionate too.

Any better Ideas??

Thanks.

Just use wire transfer/telegraphic transfer at any thai bank. You'll need to take your passport and work permit, fill the wire transfer form, pay 500 Baht transfer fee and that's it.

All depends on the amount. For about 250 B an account holder at the yellow KRUNGSRI (Ayuthaya) BANK you could buy a cashier's cheque in GBP from some British bank and mail that.

Or you could do a wire transfer - my wife has been doign these with Bangkok Bank. Forgot the fee. 1,xxx? About 1,200 but there might be charges at the other end as well.

Internet banking, may be?

SWIFT. Done in 24 hours. Salary remittance. No problems for me anyway. Bangkok Bank to Nationwide.

Depending on the amount you could simply just change it to sterling here in thailand and carry it with you

ATM card
