MJP
How can a filter really be so expensive? Now, this thing has turned out to be a tricky beast and I've only tried it out twice so far. First time I completely forgot to fix the white balance and it was a disaster. This time I set the white balance but forgot to do some jiggery-pokery with the tint, which is proving a tad bothersome in post. Not great. This article has told me a bit more . . . http://www.naturephotographers.net/articles1006/dw1006-1.html Anyway, this is what it should be capable of doing once it's keeper actually learns to use the thing and post-process correctly . . . https://www.flickr.com/groups/566794@N20

rhythmworx
Now's a good time to book a trip to Angkor Wat or the Taj Mahal via BKK while you can also take in the sunset on the Chao Phraya.

Venice! The trick is to use the white balance eye dropper in Lightroom . . .
rhythmworx
I can sense a possible purchase of a grey card or a more expensive color checker passport coming your way soon. Probably no need though if Lightroom can pull it off, just thought I would be evil and plant that seed.

Munsell Colour Charts we usually use in geological logging, but yes they are available for togs too. Pricey.

MJP
Was nice to see a comparison shot at the same location. It's not a true comparison. The blue one was shot at f/11 and I desaturated the rocks (poorly, missed a bit). It does take quite a bit of work in post and I'm not there yet with it, but gone are dull days, of which Blighty has many.
