What a woman!!giggle.gif

Still good looking, a very popular ex-PM and even a good mother!!whistling.gif

Yes, and she will be in the history books as Thailand's first democratically elected female Prime Minister.

The current incumbent is just one more of a long list of military big-wigs imposed at the barrel of a gun.

...but he has a good heart.....believe me....because he wants all Thais become happy...cheesy.gif

She'll also gets the honorary mention of being the first female clone of a male, being the first remotely controlled PM and (this still open) the most traveled female PM.

Oh, by the way, the term of 'incumbent (as in current holder of a political office) is mostly used in relation to elections, as the one seeking re-election

What has her presiding over a funeral got anything to do with taking her son on holiday ?? The reporter must have some sort of fixation with Yingluck. Why not include a lot of other useless information and do the job properly.

You forgot to add on two words.

...''or else.''

That's sounds great. But who is yingluck?

Thailand's FIRST female PM?

the woman who WON the election? and the subsequent one?

the woman who would WIN any election held NOW?

the woman who has carried herself with GREAT DIGNITY?

the woman who will "be back"?

The yellows make me laugh!

The mere mentioned of Yingluck sets of them off and so it should. She is still the peoples darling and choice.

Last time she went overseas the yellows claimed victory and that she would never return and they had a field day until they ended up with egg on their faces when she touched down to face her accusers .

All she has to do is step out the front door and it's a story that's how popular she is and the yellows should be worried none of them get the headlines Yingluck commands even if it's a trip to the supermarket.

She's holding up quite well actually and would easily get back into the top job because when you boil in down the yellow dems haven't much to chose from.

You are indeed passionate about the ex-PM and fair enough, but aside from Yingluck, and to paraphrase your own words, when you boil in it down, the reds, aka PTP haven't much to chose from.

I am not going to engage in a slanging match but Yingluck managed to survive three years at the helm, so to speak, now she has been removed and may face further disciplinary action, who among the PTP crew do you see fit enough to take over the PTP?

Bearing in mind a major event has to occur in the Kingdom before P.M. Prayut will hand over the keys.

Delete the "very popular ex-PM" and you've described a large percentage of middle-aged Thai women.

True, but this one also had a large electoral mandate. Remember electoral mandates?

If you believe any of the above you would have to be delusional and just out of a redshirt Brainwashing session. Try something new and think for yourself.

Yingluck off to see Thaksin in Japan

BANGKOK: -- Former PM Yingluck Shinawatra is planning to meet her brother Thaksin in Japan during a three-day visit there.

Yingluck flew out to Japan on Sunday with her son Supasek Amornchat. She is expected to spend at least five days away before returning. She plans to take her son and his friends to Disneyland while there.

Thaksin will meet Yingluck in Japan and both will fly in his personal plane to India to carry out a merit making ceremony from Friday to Sunday before returning to Thailand.

A number of former Pheu Thai MPs are expected to join the merit making ceremony in India.

National Council for Peace and Order spokesman Winthai Suvari said the NCPO had granted Yingluck permission to leave the country as she had followed the NCPO's demand to inform the council of her movements after her government was ousted on May 22.

Yingluck travelled to Europe and the United States from July 24 to August 11 after being allowed by the junta to leave on a temporary basis.

During the previous trip, Yingluck reportedly detoured from her declared destinations - she was seen in a photo with Thaksin and brother-in-law Somchai Wongsawat at a restaurant in Singapore, which she did not declare as one of the destinations in her schedule.

Thailand's first PM selected by her brother for being the perfect clone?

The woman whose face and name was used to win an election for her brother?

The woman who might help her brother to win another election under the faulty Thai system?

The woman who carried herself with the same dignity as her brother, shedding a tear or two ?

The woman who'll come back from holiday with her son?

Anyway with all the restrictions the NCPO put in place there's not much else news papers can publish. After all Pol. Captain Chalerm himself stated Thaksin profited most from the coup rolleyes.gif

Glad to see that at least the National Council for Peace and Order is no longer paranoid about the PTP leadership, who have mostly fallen in line with the NCPO's restrictions. Hence the NCPO okaying normal holiday travels (Yingluck travelled overseas often before she entered politics).

However, other political leaders have also been overseas since the coup - but we never hear about Abhisit's travels. The media, perhaps, don't think that this is newsworthy.

Yingluck as always Thaksin's gofer and this time to pick up some messages to pass on to the faithful on return plus no doubt some blah to the Thailand government that he promises to be a good boy if only they could see their way to letting him return. Maybe the offer of a lunchbox or two.

such a little details to WHY that wasn't possible before the coup but exactly the same remedy was not only possible, but ordered, after the coup.

Such a little detail.

A good mother does not parade her child around as a show piece !!!

Yingluck selfishly pushed her son into the children chosen to meet and walkout with Chelsea FC when they played here whilst she was in office. Couldn't give a toss for the other very upset kids who were kicked out to accomodate as long as her boy was happy. Then we had the reported whistle blowing incident at his school aimed at garnering sympathy. Died a death when the school headmaster denied it happened. Wonder what lessons the boy takes from all this. Shin can do what they want, can take anything they want, can lie when it suits? A real good mother to teach her offspring like this.

Very popular - sure with those still loyal to Thaksin or slipped a few baht. Most Thais I know who voted for her despise her now. The volume of lies, lack of work, sheer indifference to the plight of unpaid farmers, and total control by her criminal fugitive brother and total focus on his agenda destroyed the hopes of and her appeal to many.

Good looking - should be. She has the best cosmetics, clothes, jewelry, beauty treatments etc that money can buy.

You tell us.

The PTP government were not paying for several months before the coup. They were already in a mess with cash flow.

Maybe the lies, like Yingluck vowing the farmers would be paid, and Mr. White Lies the finance minister could have something to do with that.

Yingluck dissolved parliament and failed to make any prior provision for monies to pay the farmers.

Quite frankly, getting their greed paws on a off budget outside parliament control 2.2 trillion loan, and whitewashing her criminal fugitive brother and boss were the only things on their radar. They couldn't really give a toss about the farmers' plight and demonstrated that with their repeated lies and broken vows of payment.

And people still claim she acted with dignity. Unbelievable.
