PHUKET: -- AirAsia is to launch two new air-road deals timed to coincide with the start of this year's tourist high season.

One is a Bangkok-Krabi flight with onward minibus to Khao Lak, priced at B1,340 (one way) and the other is Bangkok-Nakhon Si Thammarat with minibus transfer to Khanom, for B1,080.

Bookings should be made at AirAsia.com by October 26 for travel between November 1 and April 30 next year.

Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, said, “We believe that our City Transfer and Island Transfer services fulfill the needs of travelers looking for convenience at a reasonable price.

“We are also confident that Khanom and Khao Lak will be well received, especially by the many foreign tourists expected to make their way to the Andaman Sea region during the end of the year.”

AirAsia already operates Island Transfer services to a variety of southern islands including Koh Samui, Koh Pha’ngan, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe, Koh Ngai, Koh Yao Noi and Koh Tao.

It also has City Transfer services from Bangkok to Pai via Chiang Mai, and from Bangkok to Sukhothai via Phitsanulok.

Playing catch up with Nok Air who have had an extensive air-road schedule for years now....

Lets hope nobody takes over weight hand luggage with them as the last guy did with Air Asia !

Slow news day

The trouble with Air Asia is they use DMK not BKK.

My experience using an Air Asia transfer from Udon to Laos border:

Piece of shit van with essentially no AC driven by a moron. Air Asia contracts this out....... No response to complaints of course.

just bring back the phuket-ubon route and ill be happy
