Which Visa - based on not legitimized fatherhood

Featured Replies

Hello,

1 - What is the name of the visa based on not legitimized fatherhood ?

2 - Which documents are necessary ?

3 - My son has got my family name, written on his birth certificate. I am on this certificate. Nevertheless the passport number on this certificate is the one of my former passport. May it be a problem ?

4 - Is that visa easy to get in Savannakhet in Laos ?

Thank you very much !

The only visa you can get is a single entry non-o visa if you are not the legal father of you child,

You can also get a 60 day extension of stay at immigration to visit your child.

You just need your child's birth certificate and a copy of their house book.

The different passport number on the birth certificate would not matter.

With legitimization you could get a a multiple entry visa and one year extensions,

Thank you Ubonjoe.

I am going to start the process to legimitize the fatherhood.

What is the cost of the non-o visa in case of a not legitimized fatherhood ?

A single entry non-o visa costs 2000 baht.

This will give 90 days visa ?

(I hope that I don't bother by asking)

A single entry non-o will give you one 90 day entry.
