Lite Beer
Parents urge NHRC to probe inquiry into Lao girl's fatal fallThe Nation BANGKOK: -- Parents of the 18-year-old Laotian girl, who fell to her death from an eight-storey apartment in Bangkok on July 27, urged for the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to probe the police inquiry to ensure transparency and progress, as the girl's relatives suspect she was murdered. The parents, accompanied by lawyer Suthat Ngernmeun and the Laotian Ambassador's first secretary Ponsri Boonmeesai, submitted a petition to NHRC member Niran Pitakwatchara, also chairman of the NHRC's sub-commission on civil and political rights.Ponsri said that this case received attention from both countries and the relatives feared the death, initially ruled as accident, may be murder because of suspicious finger-shaped bruises on her arm and the alleged hasty procedure to get her cremated, but the investigation then stalled. So he brought the parents to call for justice with the NHRC.The girl's father said he and wife travelled to Thailand yesterday morning to call for help from the NHRC in monitoring the police investigation to ensure its progress in getting a real culprit punished and its clarification about doubts over her death.Niran thanked the family for their trust in the NHRC, and said it would soon proceed on a fact-finding probe and invite related agencies to give information. dcutman
Another tragic case with suspicious circumstances, involving a foreigner, and brushed off as an accident by the police with little investigation. Niran thanked the family for their trust in the NHRC, and said it would soon proceed on a fact-finding probe and invite related agencies to give information. If these parents are seeking help from the NHRC. They will most likely be disappointed with the result of this fact finding probe. They can just ask the two Burmese kids how the NHRC parked the bus on them. Meanwhile, Parinya Sirisarakarn, a member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), yesterday gave new information about forensic evidence and claims made by the two suspects - Maung Saw and Maung Win - whom he had met. "However, both suspects insisted [to me] that they had committed the crimes," said the human-rights commissioner. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/766860-koh-tao-murder-report-prosecutors-seek-changes/ Edited November 1, 2014 by dcutman

dcutman
It doesnt appear to be a dangerously low guard rail. forensic police detected finger prints on the round iron bar at the corridor of the room where she fell to the ground. The finger prints showed she held the bar from the outside. There was also finger print on the wall, and footprints on the cement beam. These traces showed she climbed out of the corridor and held the iron bar from outside.http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/police-assure-fairness-equal-treatment-laotian-girls-death-case/ You would have thought if she was hanging on to the rail and with a foot hold on the beam below, the two people she was arguing with would have help her up. The wife entered the room where both her husband and Nong Paeng were inside with a reserve key. There was heated argument and curses were heard and five minutes later, both Kor and his wife rushed out quickly. Shortly afterwards apartment guards alerted the police of a woman falling to her death from the eighth floor of the apartment. Kor and his wife returned to the police station to tell their own accounts of the story, claiming they did not know how she fell from the room. But they promised to pay 20,000-30,000 baht to help the victim’s family to arrange cremation. http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/laotian-girl-s-death-sparks-outcry-social-media/ Edited November 1, 2014 by dcutman
Confuscious
Wish the parents success. But a little bird tell me that they can as well ask Santa Claus to investigate the case. The (useless) BIB will stick to suicide and anyone claiming that the RTP was maybe wrong will end up with a defamation case in their hands. RIP to the LAO girl

Pure speculation of course. There he was... shagging his Laos gig while his pregnant wife was outta town. She got a call from a nosy neighbor... She comes home early to perhaps surprise the two. But it isn't the husband that falls from the balcony as it should be. The husband and wife need to go down for this... He didn't protect his gig. If you know what Thais think of people from Laos it's understandable. Pure speculation of course. Edited November 1, 2014 by Local Drunk

If you know what Thais think of people from Laos it's understandable. Pure speculation of course. Tut, tut, tut. No Thai would behave like this. He was discussing work with his colleague from Laos. His wife came unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised them. She joined in the lively discussion about work. The Thai husband and wife left quickly so they could go home for an early night. Sadly, the young lady appears to have then slipped whilst looking over the balcony to wave bye bye. Tragic accident of a foreigner, case closed. Pure speculation of course. This will be another case where, as the victim is foreign, no one will bother to investigate further.

Amazing Thailand. They even had the audacity to offer to pay towards the funeral.
