Can anyone tell me if Thai banks charge a fee to exchange USD for Thai baht?

I have lived in Thailand for 8 years and have never been charged for an exchange. Some Banks require a passport copy and some exchange booths don't require it.

They make their money from the spread, not the fees. There are no fees. It seems there is way too much competition for that!!
