Never had any problem with them. Dont the booking procedures mention showing your booking card at boarding / checkin ?. 90 minute flight , you wont starve. Thai Lion Air are also very good - same procedures and service.

I would be very careful with Nok Air. I flew with them from Don Muang to Chiang Rai yesterday. I had booked the flight online on the 27th of December. I had paid for 25 Kilos of Baggage.

I am moving out from the UK (at last) and as is the way of things, I ended up with significantly more than 25 kilos of baggage. On Tuesday I went to their ticket office at Don Muang and asked if they would sell me a further 15 kilos. This they did quite happily, charging me an extra B635. I paid cash. Good oh I thought.

When I checked in ( or tried to) they refused to accept this, despite me having a receipt for the payment. They wanted to charge me an additional B5000! The reason given was that the office had "made a mistake". I pointed out that that fell into the realm of Nok Airs problem, and that I had paid and had a receipt. I asked repeatedly to speak to a manager, but no manager would come.

I would have binned the Nok Air ticket and booked Air Asia there and then but they had no seats available. The argument went on and on, Eventually, 10 minutes before check in closed, the manager phoned the clerk( still wouldn't speak to me) to tell him to offer me a reduction in the excess charge to B2000. With time running out, wife and daughter waiting at CEI, and no other option I reluctantly paid.

Moral of the story. whatever is printed on your receipt is not worth the paper it is printed om.

I know that folks moan about Air Asia, but they get my custom from now on!

Anyway, I'm here now.
