Hi, I am in the process of having a room built, and would like to add in a proper skylight. The builder suggested a hole in the ceiling with a piece of plexi glass over it - that does the job, but I'm wanting something that is more "legit". Something like this:

I went to my local homeprop and homeworks store and they looked at me like I was from another planet...

Unless you have first hand recommendations, I wouldn't install any skylights in my place if you don't

have spare water buckets and an large umbrella in the house... don't trust those Thai contractors,

for them a skylight is as useful as a snow plow...
