Featured Replies

So, I don't know know what theses Consulates, they're still asking for some others proofs for get theses tourist visas ?

if I don't make visa & going back to Thailand with Nong Khai border, without visa, did the Immigration will asking me leaving proof of exit Thailand ?

They don't ask for financial proof util your have reached the 3rd application or more.

They seldom will deny a visa. If you apply for a 2 entry they will do a single entry.

If denied one you should have no problem getting a visa exempt entry.

at savanakhet they do 3 entry tourist visa or no ?

do you think i have no chance to get non o 1 year , take my son with me and all paper but no mary ?-

They only do 2 entry visas in Savannakhet.

Unless you are the legal father of your child by way of legitimization of your parenthood you can only get a single entry non-o visa.

Savannakhet only will do a double entry, and from what my mate just experienced. They couldn't get rid of him fast enough, application, cash, told to come back. If you are worried about being asked for financial information, simply carry with you last bank statement and 20-50K THB that usually establishes your liquidity if anyone asks.

So going for a 3rd tourist visa (single - but past 2 are doubles) in Vientianne will they will ask for financial proof or will a one way flight paid up ticket back home be enough for evidence?

No, they will not.

Hello

I met a couple last week. What they told me was that they went to apply for a 60-day tourist visa in Savannakhet

a few months ago, where they were asked to show the officers US$600 CASH (US$300 or approximately 10,000B

each).

I don't know how many times they have applied for a tourist visa before, but I'm sure they've done it more than

once by now because they've been staying in Thailand for several months now. They've gone back to Savannakhet

now to apply for another tourist visa but were worried their application might be turned down this time.

10 or 20,000 Baht in cash is a legal requirement to enter Thailand, although is rarely enforced. The consulate may want to be sure one has it to avoid nasty surprises at the border.

I think that anyone that travels should have at least this kind of money in case of some emergency.
