TBWG
Hi I have an 8 year old Fortuner that has only done 55,000 kms. In Europe they usually recommend replacement of cam belts after 5-6 years or 100,000 miles. Anybody had it done here or have a fortuner with a lot more kms still running on original belts? Also what sort of cost to expect? Thanks TBWG
Popular Post transam
Your ride needs a new belt at 150,000km. There is a warning light in your dash to remind you. When the time comes I would advise having it done at a Toyota main agent so you are sure of a GENUINE Toyota belt and not a cheap pattern jobbie. That belt is the most important thing in that/your engine other than oil and filter changes...

The hamster is also equally important, he needs to be replaced every other cam belt change or decade which ever comes first.
TBWG
Should I get an official Toyota approved hamster or a hooky back street job? TBWG Your ride needs a new belt at 150,000km.
