What year is this car?

Seems all is now sorted. Some people say to switch to petrol a minute before engine shutdown , and to start a cold engine on petrol for the first 2 minutes. Some engines may be slugish on LPG when cold. Of course Thailand may rarely get this cold. Ensure the blue book is in your name before spending any money on the car incase you have a problem with the paperwork. Enjoy the car.

That's not enough time to do any good for the engine in either case, but it isn't so much about the temperature in Thailand for warm up it;s about properly atomizing the fuel before it goes into the chamber remember it's "liquid" propane and the idea is for it to convert to a gaseous state before being injected, while it still does atomize somewhat, the pre-heater does this more efficiently and that requires a lot more heat then just atmospheric heat so some proper warm up time is really required before switching at least 5 to 10 minutes..

Shutting down should be enough time to cool and lubricate the valves before shutting it off as there is an after effect of them getting hotter before they cool down just like the entire engine does, so there is damage being done during that process. It's very simple to just pick a landmark near home that you pass regularly and then switch to petrol and drive the rest of the way.
