JockPieandBeans Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 No doubt a volleyball game was seen as Western influence and could not be tolerated.
cookee68 Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 No doubt a volleyball game was seen as Western influence and could not be tolerated. But so are the Mobiles, computers etc what they use, that's Muslims Terrorist for you, they don't need an excuse.
simple1 Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 The BBC's Richard Galpin, who is in Kabul, says a doctor at the local hospital was crying as he spoke of treating many wounded children. The Taliban had banned games, but Volleyball is among the most popular forms of entertainment in rural Afghanistan and the locals carried on playing, in this instance paid in blood. One has to feel immense sorrow for the suffering over decades of the Afghan people who have been subjected to the cruelties of the Russian intervention, strategic errors on some aspects of foreign intervention, warlords, extremists and Islamic clerics. 1
