We are looking to escape Bangkok for the Thai Fathers day long weekend, was wondering ... thought I read somewhere that this weekend has also been extended, has it? Is the only Bank Holiday / Stat. Holiday still only Friday the 5th? of have the added the 4th as additional Bank holiday?

My wife says just the 5th, no extension. Wife has work and daughter has school, so I tend to agree.

It is a very special day in Thailand

And we all revere the day and its reason

One should take the day before and the day after plus the weekend and then travel to see relatives in country.

We in the North East will be going to a special occasion at the Tessa Bahn and enjoying the Monks and others putting forward the Buddhist ideal.
