I have been looking into this from the perspective of people renting apartments in a block (typical Thai 25sqm bed, toilet, shower, balcony, etc). My understanding, from Maestro's sterling work, is that they should never have to be placed on a TM30 form if they have a rental contract as they become the "possessor". To make sure this is covered are there any specifics that have to be included on the rental contract that they supply to immigration when TM30 is mentioned? The only reason they should use a TM30 if is they have a foreign guest staying with the renter.

This is really just for straight up clarification. Thank you for your help.

It works a bit differently for apartments than houses. The apartment/management should do a TM30.

I also not sure all immigration offices would allow a person to report themselves on a TM30 as a possessor.

Thank you for that clarity. My next question is if anybody knows where my owner can register to submit new customers online. Would like to make this easy for him!

Thanks again.

Online registration is for hotels and guesthouses and such only. Not sure if an appartment management would qualify

One applies for a password at the local immirgaiton office, so that is the place to inquire.

Everything I needed to know. Now to clarify this position for our apartment block management. They're not against it but were not clear that it was their responsibility.

Thanks.
