August 8, 200619 yr THAI to raise fuel surcharge on Asian routes BANGKOK: -- Thai Airways International Plc Tuesday announced that it plans to raise fuel surcharges on Asian flights next month to offset rising jet fuel costs. Effective September 1, the surcharge from Bangkok to Singapore will rise from US$15 to US$20, and from US$14 to US$22 for Bangkok to Penang, Malaysia. Fuel surcharges on other international flights may also have to be increase as well, the airline official added.
