Can anyone identify this plant for me?

It looks remarkably like marijuana, but on close inspection, it is not.

The first time I saw it, it was growing in front of a police station.

I thought it was a strange joke or some sort of a trap! lol

After taking a second and third look, I realized it is not marijuana.

I recently found some growing while clearing weeds from a driveway we never use.

My wife tells me that some Thai people use it to make a Tea from the flowers and that the flowers are red.

The last photo ( a little out of focus ) shows a flower bud. No buds have opened yet.

Genus and species would be great, common name in English or even Thai name would be helpful
