Anyone know how to get an invite to buy a 1+1 cell phone?

Don't know but could you explain why an invite is needed to purchase a particular brand of cell phone ?

I registered for an invite when they were first advertised and it arrived last week, about 7 months later.. I gave up long ago and bought an LG G3.
