BANGKOK: -- 8 months ago a group of 4 Swedes went out on an epic bike trip 1800 miles long through 18 countries to raise money for an orphanage.

6th December four cyclists from Sweden arrived at the orphanage Barnhem Muang Mai in Phuket. The long charity ride was collecting money for the orphanage that that was started by Swedish woman Susanne Janson after she lost both her daughters in the 2004 tsunami.

According to Swedish national broadcaster SVT, Susanne Janson was very happy for the support.

“This is my family now. I live with my sorrow every day and has to carry it with me, but I’m trying to focus on the positive. I feel like there is a purpose to my life again. On a day like this I can feel an incredible support,” Susanne told SVT.

Great initiative by the cycling swedes. Just a shame that the orphanage used Danish red and white flags, instead of the Swedish blue and yellow flags.

Lovely story. Wet eyes again.
