konying
Not to ruin the story, but night shift staff do not need to be drugged to be asleep . I fire at least 2 every month for sleeping just 2 hours into their shift

hawker9000
Ooops what's the good(?) Ayatollah going to say about this when he gets back home Some follow-up along those lines might actually be interesting... Then again, maybe it's not quite as big a deal when crimes like this are committed against infidels.
Bignose
He could have caused her death. Punish him accordingly! You are quite correct as there would be absolutely no way of knowing whether this person would have reacted to the drug administered! The act of administering a drug to a complete stranger in this way is (to me anyway) a far more serious offence than the attempted robbery itself. The sentence, once found guilty, should reflect this...

We were just waiting for "high" season to show just what we can do! Pattaya is learning from Phuket. Had almost this exact same story from Phuket a couple of years ago.... Squeegee
So he never considered the cashier waking up and knowing damn well that sleep wasn't natural, and that the guy who was ever so friendly had provided a drink just before; or considered there is such a thing as CCTV in the 21st century? Seems like jail is the best place for a criminal of this level of IQ, in case he gets any more dangerous ideas into his thick head.
